Editorial standards
How we check what we publish.
BOUND publishes research and technical analysis on player measurement, wearables and validation, alongside notes from BOUND Lab. These are the rules every piece follows.
- 01
Every factual claim has a source
Sources are linked in full. Each source is checked against the claim it supports before publication. Where available, we review the full text; otherwise, claims are limited to what can be supported by the abstract or accessible source material.
- 02
No invented citations or quotes
We never publish a reference or quote we cannot link to an original.
- 03
Evidence and opinion are kept apart
Research findings, BOUND's own data and BOUND's view are labelled differently.
- 04
Association is not causation
When studies show a relationship, we say whether it is causal or only correlational.
- 05
Weak evidence is called weak
Small studies, single studies and preprints are flagged as such.
- 06
No medical advice, no injury promises
We do not diagnose, and we do not claim any product, including ours, prevents injury.
- 07
A person approves every piece
BOUND uses AI-assisted research and editorial tools, but publication decisions remain human-reviewed. All articles require human approval before publication.
- 08
Corrections are visible
Material corrections are noted on the article with the date they were made.
