The product

The BOUND insole.

A thin sensing insole for a player's own boots. It records how each foot meets the ground and sends it to a phone at the side of the pitch.

V1 prototype boards are currently undergoing bench validation.

Illustrative zones, not exact V1 sensor positions.

01 · Pressure

Seven zones under each foot.

Heel, midfoot, forefoot and toes. Each zone senses where and how hard the foot loads the ground, moment to moment.

02 · Motion

Movement context.

A motion sensor in each insole records acceleration, so loading can be read alongside how the player is moving.

03 · Timing

Every reading in order.

Readings are time-stamped and numbered, so gaps in the data can be spotted rather than hidden.

What's inside.

One foam insole, built in three parts. Simplified, not to scale.

Layer 1

Pressure sensors

Seven sensing zones near the top surface, where the foot meets the insole.

Layer 2

Foam body

A single cushioned insole body that carries everything else.

Layer 3

Electronics island

Motion sensor, Bluetooth, memory and battery, recessed into the foam and protected.

From footstep to session.

Designed to need no internet on the pitch: data stays on the phone until it can upload.

  1. InsoleRecords pressure and motion.
  2. PhoneReceives over Bluetooth and stores locally.
  3. ProcessingRaw data kept; results calculated alongside.
  4. StaffReview per-player, per-foot sessions.

BOUND is not commercially available. V1 measures pressure and acceleration only, not rotation. We do not claim that BOUND predicts or prevents injury.
